Returns & Refunds Policy

1. Scope

This policy applies to consumer purchases of goods made at a distance (online/phone/email) from TopsLaptops. It sits alongside your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

2. 14-day cancellation right (distance sales)

You usually have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason.

• Tell us you want to cancel within 14 days of delivery
• Return the goods within 14 days of telling us
• Goods should be returned in reasonable condition with all included accessories where possible

3. Refund timing

Once cancellation is validly exercised, we will refund all payments due (including standard outbound delivery charge where legally required) to your original payment method within the statutory timeframe.

We may withhold reimbursement until goods are received back, or you provide evidence you have sent them back, whichever is earlier, where permitted by law.

4. Return postage

For change-of-mind returns under the 14-day cancellation right, you are responsible for return postage unless we state otherwise.

Use a tracked service and keep proof of posting. You are responsible for the goods until they are safely received by us.

5. Faulty, not as described, or unfit goods

Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are separate from, and in addition to, the 14-day cancellation right.

• Within 30 days: you may have a short-term right to reject and receive a full refund
• After 30 days: you may be entitled to repair or replacement first, and then a refund or price reduction if unresolved
• Our commercial warranty does not replace your statutory rights

6. Exemptions

Some goods may be exempt from cancellation rights under law (for example, bespoke/custom items or certain sealed items once unsealed). Where an exemption applies, this will be shown before purchase.

7. How to request a return or refund

Contact us with your order number, full name, and reason for return (if relevant). We will provide return instructions and confirm next steps in writing.
